Raptor Jawns is a great fit for your organization looking to add a birds of prey class or demonstration, or if you are hosting a fair, fundraiser, or other public event!
For smaller events with registered participants for a nature class or summer camp, you can book a timed demonstration during which each bird is shown to the audience in turn, allowing for a close-up, intimate, informative experience with both our red-tailed hawk and eastern screech owl. Your guests will learn about each bird’s natural history and biology and be able to ask any questions that arise for them during the course of the program.
For larger gatherings or events such as fairs or fundraisers when guests will drop in throughout the event, Raptor Jawns offers a tabled demonstration during which both birds are safely exhibited throughout the duration of the program. The presenter will talk to guests about the birds as they approach, and guests will have the option to stay by the table to watch and learn about the birds for as much or as little of the event as they would like.
While photos of and next to the birds are welcome and encouraged, guests are not allowed to touch or handle the birds at any time.
Pricing
Pricing is a flat rate of $300 per program for up to 30 guests, children and adults included.
The length of this program is time variable but typically runs between 40-70 minutes depending on the ages, attention spans, interest, and comfort of the audience.
An additional fee for travel costs is added if you are located more than 10 miles from zip code 19139.
For a tabled display for a larger drop-in style event such as a fair or fundraiser, the pricing is $250 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.
For either style of program, a travel fee is incurred for locations more than an hour’s drive away from zip code 19139.
